BDO Capital Advisors Announces the Sale of Geocel to Sherwin-Williams

Boston, MA - June 4, 2012 - BDO Capital Advisors, LLC is pleased to announce that Geocel Holdings Corporation (“Geocel”) has been acquired by The Sherwin-Williams Company (NYSE: SHW). As the exclusive financial advisor to Geocel, BDO Capital prepared a confidential offering memorandum, identified and contacted a targeted group of potential buyers and assisted management in structuring and negotiating the transaction.

Geocel is a leading manufacturer of innovative caulks, sealants and adhesives specially designed for tough construction and repair applications in commercial, residential, industrial and non-automotive transport markets. Founded in 1974 in the U.S., Geocel also has operations in the U.K. and serves customers worldwide with its comprehensive product line consisting of more than 800 high-quality sealants and adhesives. Throughout its history, Geocel has continually innovated its chemical formulation and market know-how to develop proprietary products and technologies.

Geocel’s acquirer, The Sherwin-Williams Company (“Sherwin-Williams”), is a global leader in the development, manufacture and sale of coatings and related products to professional, industrial, commercial and retail customers.
