BDO Capital Advises Morrison Supply Company on Investment by Advent International
Boston, MA – BDO Capital Advisors, LLC is pleased to announce that Advent International Corporation (“Advent”) has closed a significant majority investment in Morrison Supply Company (“Morrison” or the “Company”). As the exclusive financial advisor to Morrison, BDO Capital advised the shareholders on structuring and negotiating the transaction.
Morrison, founded in 1917, is the fourth largest distributor of plumbing and HVAC supplies in the United States, with a focus on the Southwest region. Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, the Company operates approximately eighty locations and has more than thirty showrooms where homeowners, builders, and designers can personally select from a vast array of plumbing products, appliances, decorative hardware and bath accessories.
Morrison’s investor, Advent, is a global private equity firm focused on mid to upper mid market buyouts and selective growth capital investments. Advent has been an active investor in building products, distribution and construction supply for over 20 years, and has invested in more than 20 companies in these sectors. Morrison Supply will utilize Advent’s strong expertise in the industrial sector to expand its presence in the $60 billion U.S. plumbing and HVAC supply market and enhance its leadership position in the Southwestern U.S. Advent Operating Partner Chip Hornsby will join Morrison as the Chief Executive Officer.
